About Olney Counseling Center<\/h2>\n

As a young kid, I was always interested in the inner workings of the mind. People\u2019s thoughts, beliefs, and actions fascinated me, and I knew that psychology, social work, and the brain would be a lifelong passion of mine.<\/p>\n

My journey began at Texas Tech University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and later completed my Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. My goal was to gain experience in lots of different settings including the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, working with inmates struggling with substance abuse, child protective services (CPS) in the special medical unit, foster care and relative caretakers, assisting families in private practice settings in Orange, California, and working with high conflict families within the court system.<\/p>\n

I moved to Maryland in 2001 where I continued to work in a private practice setting at OLNEY COUNSELING CENTER. I immediately knew Olney Counseling Center was the place for me and later in 2006, I became the sole owner of Olney Counseling Center and as they say \u201cthe rest is history!\u201d<\/p>\n

Since that time, I have specialized in PLAY THERAPY<\/a>, EMDR<\/a>, TRAUMA INFORMED THERAPY<\/a>, CBT<\/a>, ACT<\/a>, High Conflict families who are in need of PARENT COORDINATION<\/a>, REUNIFICATION<\/a>, MEDIATION, and EXPERT TESTIMONY. But equally important as my extensive training, is the fact that Olney Counseling Center has been able to build a team of expert clinicians who provide PROFFESIONAL, EVIDENCE-BASED therapies to Olney and the surrounding communities. Olney Counseling Center\u2019s clinicians provide state of the art therapies in a non-judgement environment with the goal being to help our patients achieve their goals and be the very best version of themselves.<\/p>\n
